Abstract

The present paper describes idea of Ngugi about the situations of women in Kenyan society. He describes how women are treated only as material to be used and oppressed.They are thing of sex and enjoyment only. Ngugi portrays the women who suffered at the hands of the European in different situations. He depicts despondent condition of African women during the period of emergency. They were treated as toys and mere objects of pleasure
